Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support licensed providers in a busy clinic. The role emphasizes basic patient assessment, phlebotomy, EKGs, and admin tasks to keep the clinical environment efficient and patient-centered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; CMA certification and CPR certification required.
• Six months to one-year experience in a health-related field.

• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines.

Description

Position Purpose: The Medical Assistant I (MA I) works closely under the direction of a licensed provider to deliver high-quality patient care. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment, providing basic patient assessment and support, and assisting in administrative duties. The CMA also participates in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.

What You Will Do

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and CPR certification required.

• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines.
• Foreign language skills may be required.
• Valid GA driver’s license and safe driving record.
