Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant I/II/III for their Cardiology department. This role involves providing supportive patient care under supervision, with varying experience requirements depending on the level. Responsibilities
Medical Assistant I provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN.
Medical Assistant II/III provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. This position requires additional duties, including administration of injectables and other high-level skill performances.

Salary Range: $39,179 – $57,548 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
Preferred: N/A
Experience
Required:
MA II – 5 years of related experience with Certification/Registration, or 6 years without.
Additional requirements for Dept Family Medicine include customer service and phlebotomy experience.
MA III – 8 years of related experience with Certification/Registration, or 9 years without.
Preferred: Ambulatory Care experience.
License(s):
Required: N/A
Preferred: N/A
Special Skills
Required: Completion of review/skill validation within 90 days, equipment use, computer skills, basic medical/nursing terminology. EPIC experience preferred.
Other
Required:
Complete module-specific programs for MA II (e.g., Immunizations, Wound Care).
