Job Summary

We seek motivated Medical Assistants dedicated to delivering excellent patient care and supporting our patient-centered approach. Success in this role requires accuracy, observance, efficiency, and a compassionate touch. Reliability, problem-solving skills, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment.
  • Verify patient visits and document medical histories in the EHR system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Administer health questionnaires and perform preliminary physical tests.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and care team members.
  • Perform routine medical procedures such as vital signs, vision tests, urine dipstick, pregnancy tests, blood glucose, hemoglobin A1C, sputum collection, HIV tests, and specimen collection.
  • Assist clinicians with procedures like nebulizer treatments, spirometry, suture removal, and wound care.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies properly.
  • Explain treatment procedures and medication instructions to patients.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient examinations.
  • Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Provide prescription information to pharmacies.
  • Participate in panel management and population health initiatives.
  • Complete documentation at each visit and ensure records are accurate and complete.
  • Educate patients and provide follow-up care instructions.

  • Manage appointment scheduling, phone inquiries, and insurance documentation.
  • Handle EHR requests and patient check-in procedures.
  • Coordinate with external facilities for tests and appointments.
  • Manage supplies and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • For MA I: Completion of an accredited training program, or current BLS certification, or relevant experience with competencies sign-off.
  • For MA II: Certification from AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or equivalent, and current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Phlebotomy certification, bilingual in English/Spanish, and health clearances.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 15 pounds.
  • Repetitive motions involving hands and wrists.
  • Reaching above shoulder or below waist.
