Granger Medical Clinic in Riverton, Utah, is seeking a Medical Assistant I for our Pediatrics Clinic to join a collaborative healthcare team. You will work closely with physicians, physician assistants, nurses and techs to ensure a welcoming, efficient patient experience and to gain valuable clinical exposure that supports future career growth.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with duties including preparing for visits, greeting and rooming patients, transcribing

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
• Healthcare training or certification strongly desired.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare in advance required information for patient visits.
• Greet, room and complete patient intake interview.
• Convey patient intake information to treating provider, accompany provider during exam.
• Accurately transcribe information into the chart as provider discusses plan of care.
• Assist provider with educating patients on treatment plans and instructions.
• Return patient calls and relay information between provider and patient.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR.
• Assist in transferring patients from procedure table and wheelchair to recovery chair.
• Instruct patients on after-care instructions and scheduling.

Medical Assistant I - Full Time

Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant at our Riverton Pediatrics Clinic.

The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the healthcare team, working with physicians, physician assistants, nurses and techs to provide patients with an exceptional experience. The experience and knowledge to be gained with a position like this is great preparation for a future career as a clinician.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, adapt to change and handle all patient interactions with compassion and professionalism.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and multi-task oriented.
• Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks.
• Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in advance required information for patient visits
• Greet, room and complete patient intake interview
• Convey patient intake information to treating provider, accompany provider during patient exam
• Accurately transcribe information into the chart as provider examines patient, discusses the treatment/plan of care
• Assist provider with educating patients on proposed treatment plan, procedure instructions and more
• Return patient phone calls in a timely manner, compassionately relaying information between provider & patient
• Adequately document all patient interactions in electronic medical record
• Assist procedure team with transferring patients from procedure table
• Assist patients from wheelchair to recovery chair.
• Instruct patients on after-care instructions
• Provide patients with follow up plan, scheduling
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a medical office preferred
• Healthcare training or certification strongly desired

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Physical work; assisting with patient transfers and wheelchair transport.
• Repetitive motion associated with transporting patients, operating a computer and other office equipment
• Inside, climate-controlled working conditions as well as outside, possible all weather conditions.
