Job summary

Requirements include a Medical Assistant program or 2 years of MA experience, GED, and BLS within 45 days. Strong communication and patient-service focus are essential for daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program, or 2 years verifiable full-time MA experience within the last 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy tests, EMG, cautery, colposcopy.
• Administers routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinates with nurses/physicians to ensure smooth clinic flow and patient communication.
