ChristianaCare's Colorectal Surgery team in Newark, DE is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant I to greet and support patients both virtually and in person, prepare them for visits, and assist with exams.

The role includes performing basic clinical tasks such as testing, injections, and EKGs, maintaining exam rooms, updating the EMR, coordinating referrals and scheduling, and handling clerical duties and video visits.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or MA Certification by a national org accredited by NCCA/ANSI.

• Greets and supports patients virtually and in person.
• Prepares patients for visits and assists with exams.

ChristianaCare's Colorectal Surgery team is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant I for their department in Newark, DE at our Map I location.

The ChristianaCare Colorectal Surgery Program is a highly specialized service featuring boardcertified surgeons who perform the most advanced colorectal procedures. Our team provides expert care for a wide range of conditions affecting the small intestine, colon, rectum, and anus, including both benign disease and complex colorectal cancers.

We are nationally recognized for delivering comprehensive, patientcentered care, combining innovative surgical techniques with coordinated, multidisciplinary treatment planning. Each patient receives a personalized care plan focused on achieving exceptional clinical outcomes and improving quality of life.

Duties / Responsibilities

Position Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
