University of Utah Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide assistive care, support licensed staff, and handle clerical duties within a busy hospital setting.

The role includes preparing patients for exams, performing CLIA waived tests, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient education, with rotating shifts including nights and weekends. EMT/MA qualifications or related program completion are required.

Formación

• Completion of one of the listed qualifications.
• Experience in ambulatory care settings preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Report patient concerns to licensed staff.
• Perform CLIA waived lab tests and report results.
• Assist with injections, catheterization, and suture removal as directed.
• Chaperone procedures and support providers during exams.
• Handle routine clerical tasks and schedule tests or appointments.
