Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room.
  • Advise patients on preparation and testing requirements for exams.
  • Complete all pre-visit work and ensure lab and test results are available in the EMR.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and strengthen patient/clinician relationships through timely, informative interactions.
  • Improve clinical operations by ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Provide clinical and clerical support related to patient care.
  • Support one or more clinicians directly as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC).
  • Medical Assistant Certification required; associate degree or completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification strongly preferred; ACLS may be required based on specialty.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum one year of clinical or customer service experience; degree may substitute for experience.
  • Computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • EMR experience or aptitude required.
  • Professional communication, interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
