Texas Oncology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Medical Oncology Department in Austin, Texas. This role involves assisting physicians with patient care, maintaining patient records, and performing clerical tasks. This position will support the Medical Oncology Department at our 4101 James Casey Street #100 location in Austin, Texas. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position will be classified as Level 1, 2, or Senior, based on candidate experience.

Under direct supervision, the Medical Assistant assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. This includes promoting efficient patient flow during exams and procedures, performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and maintaining physicians' schedules, and supporting adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
Requires full body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards typical of an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
