Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced medical office setting.

The role involves direct patient care, assisting physicians and other clinical staff, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team to ensure comfort and safety. Ideal candidates have completed an accredited nursing or medical assistant program, have less than one year of MA experience, and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
• Less than 1-year prior experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
