Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services. You will take vital signs, document information in the EHR, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), BLS and CMA certification where applicable, and 0–1 years of MA experience. Onsite daytime shifts with competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for providers.
  • Record medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records.
  • Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments.
  • Collect blood and other specimens, prepare them for testing, and log results.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, keep areas clean, and stock supplies.
  • Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated materials.

Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.Does this position require Patient Care?
