$19.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Unit/Location: Western CO HIV Specialty Care Clinic at 2698 Patterson Rd. in Grand Junction (inside the Family Medicine Residency).

Role

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:

  • Providing Patient Care: Assisting the provider to gather relevant information during patient visits.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicating with patients via phone and in person.
  • Team Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current American Heart Association (BLS) certification for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active RN/LPN license in the state of application.
  • Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to deliver high patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality, including PHI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings.
  • Computer literacy with EMR systems and relevant software.
  • Current national MA certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA).

Additional physical requirements include frequent interaction with patients and providers, manual dexterity, ability to lift and transfer patients, and navigating busy environments.

Physical Requirements

Location: St. Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

The hourly rate ranges from $19.20 to $27.35, depending on experience.
