Location: Clinton Twp, around the corner from Macomb Hospital.
We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Medical Assistant to provide dedicated support to our cancer patients. You will join our fast-paced Oncology Clinic, which is home to a collaborative team of 7 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). As an MA, you will be an integral part of a disease-specific care team, working closely with a dedicated provider to deliver respectful, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout every step of the treatment journey.
Under the direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the delivery of quality and compassionate care. These duties may include, but are not limited to, greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining medical histories, measuring and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures, and assisting providers during examinations or procedures.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Works in a patient care setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases. Manual dexterity required to perform duties. Walks, stands, stoops, and may require some heavy lifting of patients and/or equipment.
