SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nyes Rd - Suite E office hosts all Cardiac/Vascular needs among the Penn State Health Nyes Road offices! This office typically sees 90 patients a day and operates primarily on an 8-hour shift during the work week.

The desired Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, and refills. Moreover, the hired MA will be performing EKGs when ordered by the provider, recording patient history, and providing patient education.

Nyes Rd - Suite E is seeking an MA with experience in the cardiac specialty, but it is not required as long as you have an interest! If you are seeking to join a team that takes team building to the next level and hosts weekly food trucks – Nyes Rd Suite E is the office for you!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
