Two blocks from Harrisburg’s famous Front Street lies the Penn State Health Medical Group – Harrisburg office that is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join its ranks! The Harrisburg office oversees several specialties including, but not limited to: Newborn to Geriatric Family Practice, Obstetrics, Trauma-Psych Therapy, Infectious Disease, and Addiction Therapy.
The hired MA will be expected to oversee the rooming of patients while taking vitals and handling medicine reconciliation. Other responsibilities include phlebotomy, administering injections, conducting EKGs, and assisting with in-house procedures. Some clerical duties also apply, which include making inbound/outbound phone calls and monitoring the e-message pool for patient inquiries.
The desired Medical Assistant will be a prompt and professional employee who is team-oriented and has excellent bedside manner.
