Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent needed.
• CMA from an accredited school required.
• 160 hours of externship or 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.
• Current BLS and First Aid required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with medical providers to deliver comprehensive health care.
• Prepare for patient visits to ensure readiness.
• Assist in clinical services such as taking vital signs.
• Update health maintenance checklists and patient records.
• Assist with patient discharges and education.

Skills

Knowledge of medical terminology

Fluently speak, read, and write English

Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese)

Basic computer skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Typing at least 35 wpm

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Medical Assistant certificate (CMA)

Documentation/completion of 160 hours externship or 1 year work experience

Current BLS and First Aid
