Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care through pre-visit planning, room preparation and vital signs collection.

The role includes updating records, coordinating with the care team and providing administrative assistance to ensure smooth clinic operations. Ideal candidates will have a Medical Assistant program background or equivalent clinical experience, along with customer-service skills and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• BLS/CPR current or within 60 days of hire; through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient records prior to appointment and prepares for examination.
• Pre-charting value-based pieces up to five days before visit; communicates with Care Team as needed.
• Prepares patients for examination, records vitals, updated meds, allergies, and personal history.
• Performs administrative tasks (check-in/check-out, opening/closing procedures) and supports practice operations.
