Medical Assistant - Gurnee, IL (Part-Time)

Join Endeavor Health as a Medical Assistant - Gurnee, IL (Part-Time).

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Bone Density Medical Assistant
  • Location: Gurnee, IL
  • Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, with rotating weekends (Saturdays optional)
  • Travel: Yes, as scheduled to Highland Park Hospital, Gurnee, Vernon Hills, IL

Compensation: $19.89 - $28.84/hour, based on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Operating bone densitometry equipment for DEXA scans, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
  2. Calibrating and maintaining equipment for accuracy.
  3. Analyzing scan results and documenting procedures and patient data.
  4. Monitoring patients during and after procedures, providing post-scan instructions.
  5. Adhering to safety, radiation, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
  • Ability to learn technical skills quickly.
  • Attention to detail and independent judgment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and software.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations and schedules.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
