Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking a Medical Assistant for an ambulatory clinic setting. This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week, clinic hours from 7:30am to 5:00pm, and scheduled shifts 8:30am to 5:00pm.

You will support clinicians, gather information for visits, and communicate with patients by phone and in person. The position emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and protection of health information.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program or at least one year of MA work experience or current active RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and patient privacy.
• Utah residents with MA experience under one year may enroll in MA residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician direction and assist the provider with gathering information relevant to visits.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care and ensure follow-through.
