Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal team. The role is primarily based at 9104 Babcock Blvd but will require regular travel to Cranberry and Mars office locations, with mileage reimbursed.

Hours are Monday through Friday daylight hours, with a schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts from 7am to 5pm. No evenings, weekends, or holidays are required. Prior Medical Assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Willing to travel regularly to Cranberry and Mars offices.
• Able to work four 10-hour shifts from 7am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information; schedule appointments; verify insurance and demographics.
• Prepare and manage charts; maintain infection control; restock exam/procedure rooms and manage inventory.
