Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA-C) to perform administrative and clinical duties, including scheduling, updating EPIC records, and measuring vital signs during visits. The role supports teamwork and offers pathways to leadership for motivated MAs.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited MA program or an apprenticeship, plus 1 year of MA experience with vital signs and injections. BLS certification within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on medical assisting training.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Minimum one year of MA work experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months healthcare experience.
• 6 months MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage administrative tasks.
• Update patient information in EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
• Take patients' vital signs during appointments.
• Support clinical workflows and patient care delivery.
• Contribute to a team environment with opportunities for leadership growth.
