Job summary

Tennova Medical Group - Greater Knoxville is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a medical provider in our Powell, TN clinic. The role includes assisting with procedures, preparing exam rooms, handling patient intake, and maintaining efficient clinic operations while delivering friendly, professional service to patients and staff.

Qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred, 0–1 year in a medical setting, and BCLS

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship required

Responsibilities

• Assists with non-invasive procedures and vital signs
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for visits
• Performs patient intake, test result reporting, and triage
• Maintains daily logs and documentation
• Supports scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications
• Ensures organized workload and courteous service
• Monitors supplies and educates patients on health topics
