Overview

Come Join our Medical Group Team at as a GI Lab Medical Assistant!

This Position isresponsible for assisting with clinical taskssuch as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and other clinical tasks. Tasks may include appoint scheduling, answering, and returning patient calls, and coordinating daily office activities. This position conveys a positive image of the office and provides information as needed to ensure patients are aware of all benefits of the office.

Location: 500 S. Weber Rd. Romeoville IL

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm CST

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.

2. Medical Assistant Certification, preferred.

3. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
