Job summary

Senior LIFE is seeking a Medical Assistant in Waynesburg, PA to support physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff with patient care and workflow coordination. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., in-person at our Waynesburg site. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program or national certification, and at least two years of direct clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or a national medical assistant certification from a national certifying organization (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA) are preferred.
• Two years of experience with direct clinical responsibilities as a medical assistant preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant will assist the Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Staff with various aspects of patient care (including clinical, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks) to ensure our participants satisfaction.
• This position serves as a key person for the provider regarding day-today workflow issues and office procedures.
