Overview

• Position: Medical Assistant - Schaumberg - General Surgery
• Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, 40 Hours
• Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Travel: Some travel to surrounding clinics as needed

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history collection
• Support physicians during examinations, minor surgeries, dressing changes, and first aid procedures
• Assist with immunizations or injections if certified
• Manage prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, charting, and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests)
• Maintain clean and welcoming examination rooms
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Travel to other clinics as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or related health sciences education
• Active medical assistant certification (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA) for clinical specialties like Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days if required
• Experience as MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or in a medical office for at least 2 years
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Health sciences college graduates interested in healthcare careers are encouraged to apply

Compensation: Base pay ranges from $21.43-23.63 for Medical Assistants, and $22.97-24.57 for Certified or Registered Medical Assistants, depending on skills, experience, education, and location. Additional incentives may apply.
