Job summary

MultiCare Health System is actively seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for the General Surgery team in Puyallup, WA. The role supports physicians and APPs with patient flow, vital signs, and exam preparation, while performing specimen collection and medication administration under supervision.

Minimum one year of healthcare experience is preferred, with BLS current. The position offers a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, Day shift) and a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 24-month commitment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C).
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities such as organizing patient flow with front office staff, interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with exams or treatments, specimen collection (venipuncture), and administering medications per Washington DOH regulations.
• Relays instructions and information to patients and families/caregivers.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
