Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Edmonds to join a collaborative team and support patient flow, chart updates, triage, and patient education. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to physician orders, and cross-functional teamwork to ensure seamless care.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends, paid holidays and PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health and financial well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow.
• Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation.
• Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
• Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders.
• Provide patient education as well as personal patient care to provide comfort and well-being to acknowledge physiological and psychological needs.
• Under direction from providers, process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with fellow clinic employees, managers and providers.
• Take direction and initiate actions that will allow cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.

Duties you will be responsible for:

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years' experience as Medical Assistant preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred not required
