Epiphany Dermatology in Mission Woods, KS is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a gap year program. You will support dermatology clinicians, prepare patients, collect visit notes, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

This role offers hands-on clinical exposure, onboarding in a patient-centric team, and benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and awaiting PA/NP/medical school acceptance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient experience from welcoming patients to answering care questions.
• Assist during procedures, capture visit notes, fulfill prescription orders, and support the provider.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, exam room flow, and create efforts to work efficiently.

• Provide the best patient experience - from warmly welcoming patients and prepping them for their visit to thoughtfully answering their care-related questions.
• Act as the right hand to the provider, supporting hand‑on patient care by assisting during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, fulfilling prescription orders, doing anything else needed to ensure the appointment is as smooth and complete as possible.
• Keep the clinic running smoothly by staying on top of managing supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding the flow of exam rooms, and finding fun, creative ways to work smarter and more efficiently.

• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
