Job summary

CareSpot is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care across Florida’s urgent care locations. You will assist with triage, vitals, blood draws, medication administration, and room setup as part of a patient-centric team.

The role requires MA/EMT/Paramedic training or CMA/RMA certification, with optional CNA/phlebotomy experience. A healthcare background is preferred, and the practice offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program; or hold RMA/CMA designation.
• 6 months of experience in a relevant environment or CNA with phlebotomy experience; phlebotomy cert + 6 months verifiable phlebotomy experience.
• 1 year of verifiable phlebotomy-focused experience or healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Active MA/EMT/Paramedic program completion or CMA/RMA designation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work completion.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Preparing exam rooms and assisting patient transitions from waiting room to exam room.
• Checking in/out patients, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.

POSITION SUMMARY

What youll be doing

We are hiring a Medical Assistant to assist our providers with exams procedures and other processes to meet the specific needs of our patients including but not limited to

• Triaging patients measuring vitals and recording information on patients charts
• Blood draws venipuncture specimen collection and completion of lab work
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments

What youll bring to the table

Graduation from a Medical Assistant EMT Paramedic or other relevant program OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience OR possess phlebotomy certification and 6 months of verifiable experience with Phlebotomy OR 1 year of verifiable experience in a role where phlebotomy is the primary function Wed also prefer if you have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting such as an emergency department urgent care or other ambulatory clinic

A few requirements
