Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with completion of an approved Medical Assistant program; 1 year of related clinical experience is preferred. No licensure is required for this position.

Qualifikationen

• Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year of related clinical patient care experience within the last 5 years preferred in lieu of a Medical Assistant program.
• No licensure, registration or certification required.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and assess their needs, documenting vital signs, weight, chief complaint, medications and social history.
• Record services and diagnoses for encounter forms, requisitions, consent forms and advance beneficiary notices.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures and treatments according to protocols.
• Independently perform ancillary services including venipuncture and, per protocols, x-rays.
• Maintain medical records, prepare charts, and file results and correspondence.
• Coordinate care via messaging, calls, scheduling, prescriptions, and referrals as required.
• Utilize EMR and other computer apps to complete tasks per policies.
• Administer medications orally or via intramuscular injections as directed.
