Job summary

My Health Onsite is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient-centered care across our Florida healthcare centers. You will escort patients, prepare them for exams, perform vital signs, injections, and blood draws, and document details in the EMR.

You will work with a care team to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient service, contributing to a positive patient experience while upholding privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• One year of recent clinical experience, preferably in primary or urgent care setting.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and escort to exam room.
• Prepare patients for radiology procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Record vital signs (BP, pulse, oximetry, height, weight, waist).
• Provide information and assistance to patients.
• Perform blood draws and administer injections/vaccinations; input data into EMR.
• Prepare treatment rooms; keep areas clean and stocked.
• Maintain patient confidentiality of care information.
• Assist physicians and staff with procedures.
• Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration.

• Monday 8-5
• Tuesday 7-4
• Wednesday 10-7

Essential Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and escort to exam room
• Prepare patients for radiology procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference)
• Provide information and assistance to patients
• Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations; keep rooms neat, clean and well stocked
• Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information
• Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments
• Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year of recent clinical experience, preferably in primary or urgent care setting
• BLS for Healthcare Providers

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Assistant or Equivalent Experience
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record (EMR)
• Proficiency with blood draws and injections
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills
• Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member
