Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse - PRN - Inverness/Citrus County

What You’ll Do

• Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms.
• Prepare patients for radiology procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference).
• Provide information and assistance to patients.
• Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations; keep rooms neat, clean and well stocked.
• Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information.
• Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments.
• Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration.

Minimum Qualifications

• LPN or RN: Clear and active license in the state of Florida.
• One year of recent clinical experience, preferably in a primary or urgent care setting.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or Equivalent Experience.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Proficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record (EMR).
• Proficiency with blood draws and injections.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills.
• Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member.
