Mercy is seeking Medical Assistants to support providers in outpatient settings with direct and indirect patient care, documentation, and clerical tasks. You will work under supervision within your scope of practice and in alignment with Mercy's standards.
The role requires standing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and experience in an outpatient/ambulatory care environment. BLS certification may be required for certain clinics.
Medical Assistants (MA) in the medical office setting supports providers by delivering direct and indirect patient care in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The MA may assist with clinical procedures, maintains accurate documentation, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The MA functions within their defined scope of practice (based on office type clinic/HOD), under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care.
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
