Summary

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant! This position is benefit-eligible, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Job Duties

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering calls, verifying patient information, patient check-in/out, and coordinating appointments.
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, prepare charts, and assist with medical examinations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per protocols and regulations.
• Prepare examination rooms with proper equipment and supplies.
• Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records.

Required Experience

• Good history-taking skills, competent computer skills, accurate documentation, and good organizational skills.
• Effective communication with patients, providers, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

Education:

• Completion of Medical Assistant training (certification preferred but not required).
• Other medical training with active certification and 1+ years recent experience (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA).
• Military medical training with documentation.
• Bachelor's degree with health science coursework (submit transcripts).

Experience

• Previous clinic-based Medical Assistant experience preferred.

The starting hourly pay range is $18.91 - $25.21, commensurate with experience. The full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36.

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days or until filled.
