Job summary

Conservative Care Occupational Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Rogers, AR, to provide a welcoming patient experience and support both front-d desk and clinical back-of-house duties.

You will handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments while maintaining confidentiality and aiding the clinical team in a fast-paced urgent-care setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification/degree (CMAA, CMA, RMA) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; interact professionally with patients and team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning EHR software.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage check-in and check-out: schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, update records.
  • Answer and route calls, respond to inquiries and support front-desk communication.
  • Collect co-payments, balances, and insurance details accurately, maintaining financial integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure documentation is scanned/entered into the EHR.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and supporting the clinic team.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and communication.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and contribute to an efficient, respectful clinic environment.
  • Work in back of house with taking vitals, checking rooms, and assisting the provider as needed.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Medical Assistant who will play a vital role in providing a welcoming, organized, and patient-focused experience for everyone who walks through our doors, as well as will need to have Medical Assisting experience/certifications to work in the back of house.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Medical Assistant ensures our clinic’s front-office operations run smoothly and professionally, as well as has duties in back of house. You’ll manage check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and payment collection — all while fostering a positive atmosphere and supporting the clinical team. As well as work in back of house doing MA duties.

What You'll Do

Clinic Schedule

Our Rogers clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no weekend or holiday hours.

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification/degree (CMAA, CMA, RMA)

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ year of front-desk, receptionist or medical office experience.
  • 1+ year of medical assistant experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and basic medical/insurance terminology.
  • Bilingual
  • Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare environment where scheduling, insurance verification and patient registration were key functions.
