Job summary

Schweiger is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Riverdale, NJ location. The role supports physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, manages patient flow, and helps maintain a welcoming clinical environment.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, CMA certification preferred, and proficiency with EMR and office software. Full-time with rotating schedules and weekend availability offered.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy; familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Document treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, and prescriptions within guidelines.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Manage inventory and stocking of supplies; attend training.

Job Summary: Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Riverdale Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required. Dermatology experience is preferred.

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their abilityPrep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$19-24
