Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Forked River, NJ, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. The role supports physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures and handles clinical and clerical tasks in a busy dermatology setting.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, dermatology exposure, and CMA certification. Proficiency with EMR, scheduling systems, and MS Office is expected; weekday and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and scheduling systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service.
• Able to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to patients.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, and prescriptions.
• Manage provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prepare rooms before and after patients; check equipment.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Monitor supplies and alert leadership to low stock.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Forked River Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am - 7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$18 - $22
