Job summary

Greater Seacoast Health’s Wakefield practice in Sanbornville, NH is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a caring primary care team. You’ll support providers, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and help deliver high‑quality, compassionate care to the Wakefield community.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, holds CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, and has 2+ years of ambulatory experience with current BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA preferred.
• Two or more years of ambulatory or primary care clinical experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, and chaperone visits
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready
• Support providers during procedures and assist with immunizations
• Coordinate medication refills, lab orders, and patient follow-ups
• Work closely with providers, nurses, and other care team members
• Help connect patients with additional health and social services when needed
• Keep patient information confidential and create a welcoming, respectful experience
• Help keep the day moving by anticipating patient and provider needs and stepping in where needed

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA preferred
• Two or more years of ambulatory or primary care clinical experience preferred

• Strong clinical skills and confidence working within the Medical Assistant scope
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and adapt as patient and provider needs change
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
