The role involves validating patient information, preparing rooms, collecting specimens, and performing Point of Care tests while adhering to HIPAA and infection-control standards. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification is required.
• Current medical assistant certification from a Nationally Recognized accreditation (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations.
• Measure and record vital signs and collect samples as needed.
• Obtain and process blood samples according to policy and document in EMR.
• Assist with patient intake, transcribe visit notes into EPIC, and support appointment scheduling.
• Maintain exam rooms per infection control standards and ensure patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
