Job summary

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Front Desk Float for our West Broad location. This role supports both clinical and front desk functions to ensure smooth patient flow.

The position requires MA experience, familiarity with Allscripts EMR and Phreesia check-in, and the ability to obtain vitals, schedule visits, and assist with allergy testing and injections as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MA experience in a medical practice.
• Certified Medical Assistant training or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and vital signs is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain current vitals, patient history, current medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform allergy skin testing on patients.
• Accurate document billing for each testing performed on patients.
• Utilize inventory management system to dispense, transfer, and adjust inventory when needed.
• Schedule new clinic patients and explain policy and procedure to patients.
• Send prescriptions as needed.
• Manage medication and ancillary inventory.
• Cross trained in biologic and allergy injections to provide coverage as needed.
