Job summary

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Front Desk Float for our West Broad location in Richmond, VA. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 an hour, based on experience. The role covers MA duties and front desk tasks with cross-training in injections as needed.

Qualified candidates have MA experience, certifications preferred, and familiarity with EMR systems like Allscripts, Phreesia pad, and inventory management. Weekly pay is offered along with benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical practice.
• Certified Medical Assistant training or equivalent education preferred.
• EMR systems: 1 year experience preferred.
• Vital signs: 1 year experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain current vitals, patient history, current medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform allergy skin testing for patients.
• Document billing for testing performed.
• Utilize inventory system to dispense, transfer, and adjust inventory.
• Schedule new clinic patients and explain policy and procedure.
• Send prescriptions as needed.
• Manage medication and ancillary inventory.
• Cross-train for biologic and allergy injections to provide coverage.
