Job summary

Marathon Health in Dodgeville is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide excellent patient care in a unique collaborative model. In this role, you will manage both the medical reception and clinical responsibilities associated with patient care, working directly with a primary care physician.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Strongly preferred: MA certification or registration.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review and gather relevant health information from patients.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by providers.
• Collaborate with the care team to address patient care gaps.
• Handle front desk duties and coordinate specialist visits.
• Record data in medical records as per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate with patients.
