Job summary

Marathon Health in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, acting as both a front-desk liaison and clinical support.

The role involves taking vitals, performing blood draws, injections, and wound care, and coordinating care with labs and specialists.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration strongly preferred; certification/registration required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to rooms and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, medical records requests, referrals, and coordination of care outside the clinic.
• Process test results and communicate with patients via e-message, mail, or phone.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment, participate in outreach to engage patients.
