Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient in. Cleans room after use.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares information for visits.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit and documents vitals and allergies in EHR.
• Communicates patient needs with the care team and updates scheduling as needed.
• Handles calls, messages, and appointment scheduling per guidelines.
• Stocks examination rooms with supplies and assists with orders and inventory.
• Documents in EHR and PMS; enters orders and referrals timely.
• Adheres to universal precautions and safety procedures.
