Job summary

IRMC Physician Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support IPG UrgiCare at Indiana. You will assist physicians, perform clinical and clerical tasks, and help ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced office.

The role requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program and at least two years of front/back office experience, along with CPR certification and strong knowledge of EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited medical assistant program or a multi-tasked professional with at least two years of experience, preferred in performing front and back office activities in a medical environment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of basic medical front and back office procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms.
• Take vital signs and document results in the patient chart.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Maintain clinical supplies and back-office inventory.
• Schedule appointments and manage registrations; verify insurance and collect co-pays.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record and ensure data accuracy.
