Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Inc. is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Assistant for a Pleasant Hills area practice. The ideal candidate will have both front and back office experience and phlebotomy skills. Six months experience preferred, new graduates considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Six months MA experience preferred or open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs and medical history.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as directed by physicians.
• Handle patient phone calls and coordinate prescriptions.
• Obtain patient record information, lab data, and test results as required.
• Prepare, maintain, and stock exam and treatment rooms; assist with scheduling tests or follow-ups.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with administrative duties as needed.
