Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the care team across our Frederick, Rockville, Gaithersburg and Damascus offices. You will perform routine back‑office tasks, assist with patient flow, and help with messages, scheduling and refills in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with Nursing Assistant experience preferred and bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Nursing Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Back office functions: patient flow, exam room prep, and turnover; assist physicians/nurses.
• Handle provider/nurse messages, schedule appointments, and process prescription refills as directed.
• Ensure clinical compliance in sterilization, medication oversight, and OSHA requirements.
