Scripps Clinic Del Mar in Del Mar, CA is seeking a Clinical Support role combining front office and back office Medical Assistant duties. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends or evenings required.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vitals, procedure assistance, documentation in EPIC, and scheduling. Required MA program or two years as Military Corpsman/MA, plus BLS. Prior primary care or family practice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or two years of Military Corpsman/MA experience.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year MA experience in primary care or family practice is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, check vitals, assist with procedures.
• Clinic prep and provider-specific protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Assist with patient care services that support the physician's practice.
• Relay instructions from physician to patient or authorized person.
• Collect patient data in person and by phone.
• Document patient concerns and care in the EMR for physician review.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Schedule appointments and procedures; take messages.
• Route messages to appropriate area; handle referrals and pre-certifications.
• Set up cases in EPIC and perform basic registration and demographics updates.
