Position Highlights:

  • Shift Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Department: School Health Alliance
  • Location: The clinic site will vary depending on the specific clinic assignment.

Impact on Patient Care:

As a CMA, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional patient care and supporting efficient medical operations.
  • Managing clerical tasks, scheduling, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
  • Conducting patient interviews, recording vital signs, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Preparing examination rooms, administering medications, and following infection prevention protocols.
  • Maintaining medication records and adhering to point-of-care testing policies.

Your contributions will enhance patient experiences and support our mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting is preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following is required:

  • CMA from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • CCMA from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • NCMA from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • RMA from the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • RMA from American Allied Health
  • NCMSMA from the National Healthcare Worker’s Association (NHCWA)
  • NRCMA from the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • NRMA from the National Registry of Medical Assistants
