Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in the ambulatory care setting. You will perform clinical tasks, take vitals, prepare patients for exams, and document in the electronic health record.

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, 40 hours per week. Minimum requirements include a medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience or certification. Advocate Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
